Like others if I could provide a lower rating I would. It’s taken over 3 months to process a straightforward claim…only because I dedicated over 10 hours to phoning them, waiting on hold and speaking to multiple different individuals to move things along. Don’t bother with emails. And don’t choose the call back option. You’ll get nowhere. The complaints email with Tokyo Marine (provided by the company on below thread) will also not result in a response.

Warning- if your holiday is cancelled due to an EARTHQUAKE they won’t refund your accommodation costs overseas as well as your emergency accommodation and related expenses (meals, taxis) you forked out mid route as per their advice! It’s one or the other. Their ‘advice’ has left me $1400 out of pocket as I was told to book emergency accommodation and save all my receipts.

How they can continue to operate is baffling. Steer clear!

By far the worst company ever. I filed a complaint in September and we are now in April the team are yet to find a solution. Their terms state they must make contact every 10-14 days yet I have not heard a single thing. I have raised complaints to AFCA also and the company are yet to respond to their emails or phone calls.

This company is a complete SCAM, avoid at all cost. I raised a claim 2 months ago and have yet to receive a response. They will happily take your money and provide you with no cover. I have emailed over 20 times over the last 6 weeks and have heard nothing. You cannot reach them via phone either. My car was broken into a very distressing event whilst being overseas and they just add to that stress. Now I have to report to ASIC and AFCA. Will also make sure to report to their payment gateway and compare the market to shut these scammers down.

Don't waste your money. We put in a claim - first time ever.  We got no response from the 4 emails we sent after lodging the claim. I've rung 3 times and keep getting told its under review (months have gone by). It wasn't even a big claim. Read the other reviews, this should get zero stars. I am going to lodge a complaint with the insurance ombudsman.

We received only a proportion of our claim. They haven’t refunded our flights or the correct amount for our hotel stay. They requested a letter from Jetstar confirming we didn’t receive a refund which was provided 6 weeks ago but still no response. I’ve followed up multiple times on this. I also sent the detailed breakdown and supporting evidence for the hotel costs but have not been paid this.

They par settled our claim which was a really low amount as it included taxis and food which we kept really low so we wouldn’t be claiming much. The large expense for hotel and flights have not been paid. This was definitely a tactic used on their end to send a claim settlement. It is unfair and an unethical way of doing business. We are just lucky this industry is regulated.

Reading all these reviews we should all go to the insurance Ombudsman and report this to ASIC and APRA. I am going to investigate further on this process. These reviews alone are a testament to inadequate customer service.
